Van-ventures! Science World

We officially had our first Vancouver Adventure! We went to the Science World at Telus World of Science (Telus is a big communications company up here; think Sprint or AT&T).

We can see it from our apartment. In the pictures we posted here, it's the large sphere across the water. That is their large OMNIMAX theatre.

This is the view of the apartment from the Science World!

The current large exhibition is an adventure through the Safari extravaganza. We weren't overwhelmingly interested in that since almost every history/science museum in the States has their own version. We wandered through briefly on our way to the other, much more exciting setups.

They have an optical illusion and puzzle section! We spent the most time here. I was really good at the puzzles that required patterns. Max was amazing at the ones you have to take the ball bearing off of the rope and it doesn't make any sense. I do not understand those at all. I am awful at them and am amazed by Max's unbelievable abilities.

This next thing was really nifty. They had three guitar strings with a solid colored wheel behind them you would spin. When you plucked a string, you could see the waves it created!

Then there was the gift shop!!! They had body part plushies!! It's a whole series and I want it!
